MMCH Introduces In-House ORS Water Plant and Upgraded Dialysis Unit

At Manamohan Memorial Community Hospital (MMCH), our goal has always been simple: bring safe, reliable, and compassionate healthcare directly to the communities of southern Kathmandu and the surrounding hilly areas. We are thrilled to announce two major operational upgrades aimed at enhancing patient comfort and treatment safety: our very own dedicated Oral Rehydration Salts (ORS) water purification plant and an upgraded, state-of-the-art Dialysis Unit with new patient cabins.

Clean Hydration: Our In-House Water & ORS Facility

Dehydration and waterborne illnesses present continuous challenges in rural and hilly regions, especially for young children, elderly patients, and those recovering from surgery.

To address this, MMCH has established its own dedicated ORS Water Plant.

  • Safe, Sterile Hydration: The new facility processes purified, medical-grade water on-site to prepare fresh, safe Oral Rehydration Solutions for inpatients and emergency visitors.
  • Immediate Access: Having an in-house plant ensures a continuous, uninterrupted supply of clean hydration therapy right when patients need it most.

Upgraded Dialysis Unit & Enhanced Patient Cabins

For patients living with kidney conditions, routine dialysis treatment is vital. Traveling hours across difficult terrain for regular sessions adds immense strain to patients and their families.

To provide better specialized care closer to home, MMCH has upgraded its Dialysis Unit:

  • Modern Dialysis Equipment: Outfitted with advanced, reliable dialysis technology to deliver safer, more efficient blood filtration procedures.
  • Newly Designed Private Cabins: We have built comfortable, quiet, and hygienic patient cabins designed to offer privacy, reduce cross-contamination, and ensure a peaceful recovery environment during long dialysis sessions.
  • Dedicated Clinical Supervision: Supported by trained healthcare staff to closely monitor patient vitals throughout each procedure.

Building a Stronger Community Hospital

Whether through modern diagnostic equipment, clean water infrastructure, or specialized treatment cabins, MMCH continues to evolve to meet the needs of the people we serve. These upgrades mark another step forward in ensuring that high-quality, dignified healthcare remains accessible to everyone in our region, regardless of their background.
